President Donald Trump's executive order providing an eviction moratorium for renters started September 4, 2020.
From now until the end of 2020, landlords won't be able to evict tenants who don't pay rent. Under the moratorium, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Department of Health and Human Services use their authority under the Public Health Service Act to protect renter from being evicted and spreading the novel coronavirus.
