The COVID-19 Pandemic has been difficult for all tenants, and certainly for Landlords as well. Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order Number 20-94 suspending residential evictions and that order has subsequently been extended until July 1, 2020.
The COVID-19 Landlord Eviction panelists addressed these questions, along with a variety of others:
1. What types of situations can landlords evict for if they can’t file evictions for non-payment?
2. Should landlords serve 3-day notices during this time frame?
3. Can landlords charge late fees and other types of fees?
4. How are county court and Sheriff Moratoriums affecting the eviction process?
Jerron, Eddie, and Marshall took questions online from participants and shared their answers live with the audience. We look forward to future events with these gentlemen!
